President Barack Obama signed an executive order last Wednesday reestablishing a federal panel to address the concerns of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Acknowledging the health, educational, and economic disparities the AAPI community faces, the White House Initiative on Asian Americans and Pacific Islander, which was first instated by President Clinton ten years ago, aims to address and resolve these disparities by working with 23 agencies and departments across our government.
